Nova Services Ltd | Software Engineer & Facilitator
Hybrid role in Kigali—building services with TypeScript, PHP, and SQL, while contributing to agile delivery, documentation, and mentoring teammates in development best practices.
At Nova Services Ltd in Kigali, Rwanda (hybrid), I worked as a Software Engineer from December 2021 to April 2024. I also took on facilitator and mentorship responsibilities, supporting peers through planning, code quality, and shared learning.
I conducted agile planning and daily stand-ups, helping the team stay aligned and ship predictably. I migrated the backend from a monolithic setup toward microservices, which improved scalability and uptime.
I developed core services using TypeScript, PHP, and SQL, wrote detailed feature specifications and documentation, and implemented testing protocols. I also mentored colleagues on development best practices.
